WHAT LED YOU TO RENO/TAHOE?
I was born and raised in Reno/Tahoe. I lived in Northstar during my childhood and then my family moved to Reno. I attended college at Portland State University, but later decided to move back to Reno and finish my degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. I missed the weather, the outdoor activities and everything else Reno/Tahoe has to offer including my passion, running! I am an avid runner and I love traveling for races, but I am always happy to come back home, to Reno.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE RENO-TAHOE AMA?
My favorite aspects of Reno-Tahoe AMA are the people, and dialogue we share at events. Everyone at AMA is very welcoming. I’ve developed a lot of new relationships through networking at the events, and learned new marketing tools from experts. I look forward to learning more about the association and everything it has to offer.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND AS IT RELATES TO MARKETING.
After college, I worked as a marketing coordinator; I enjoyed working in marketing and wanted to take on more. I took a job in the marketing department at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa; this is where I started my career in casino marketing. From there, I have developed with the company and expanded my knowledge in the different areas of marketing. I am currently the special events manager for Atlantis—responsible for marketing, planning and executing our events to create the best guest experience possible.
