Tell us about your company.
PBS West provides complete medical billing, collections and account receivable management services with an emphasis on serving the radiology community. Our goal is to maximize reimbursement to our physician clients and function as a seamless business partner in order to help them make more informed practice management decisions. I am responsible for marketing, community outreach and business development.
Tell us about your background as it relates to marketing.
I have been a marketing specialist and project manager for over 20 years developing and supporting B2B and B2C brands in house, in agency and as a freelance consultant. During this time, I have worked with a broad range of clients in the tourism, publishing, advertising, greeting card, industrial tool, and medical categories. Currently, I am working as the Director of Marketing for PBS West a professional medical billing company headquartered in Reno. I also serve on the board of directors for the American Lung Association of Northern Nevada and Reno-Tahoe American Marketing Association, as well as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada.
What led you to Reno-Tahoe?
In early 2012, my husband, daughter and I moved to Reno from Bend, Oregon (also a high desert climate). Whenever possible, we enjoy all of the outdoor activities Northern Nevada has to offer including summer and winter biathlon, cyclocross, road biking, hiking, skiing, camping, and fishing.
What is your favorite thing the Reno-Tahoe AMA?
As a recent transplant to Nevada, the Reno-Tahoe AMA gives me the opportunity to meet new people, learn about what is going on in the community, and stay up to date on what trends and strategies others are utilizing in the marketing arena. As a member of the board of directors and Co-VP of Hospitality, I enjoy helping guide the association in its annual goals, spreading the word about AMA via social media and public relations, and welcoming our members and the community to our monthly luncheons.
