What about marketing interests you the most?

Determining what motivates people to act and then figuring out how to craft a message that drives action. Marketing is fascinating because it is multifaceted, combining many diverse fields from business to psychology. Marketing is dynamic. It is a balance of art, science and magic and that combination is always intriguing.

How has the AMA helped your career growth/personal growth?

Our industry is constantly evolving; the AMA helps me stay on top of current and upcoming trends. Additionally, though we are all marketers in some form, we come from different industries and areas of expertise. Learning from other marketers inspires bigger ideas.

Tell us about yourself and what you do?

I’m a native Floridian who just moved to Reno via Las Vegas (I know, booooo Vegas, but both cities offer something different). I’m still adjusting to Reno’s very interesting weather. I took over marketing for Signature Landscapes late last year and I’m a member of Junior League. I have two little boys and enjoy hiking in Tahoe with my family (minus the cat, he stays home).

What’s one thing most people wouldn’t know about you?

I buy wines based on the label, it can be hit or miss. (What can I say, I love logos and fonts). Also, I have a B.S. from the University of Florida and an M.S. from Florida State University, but make no mistake, I’m a Gator. Gooooo Gators (and Wolf Pack a little bit).
